This Season’s Hottest Trends

  • When it comes to spring, it’s well near impossible to ignore the new trends that have been sent down the runway by some of the worlds’ hottest designers. With so many upcoming trends, and so much fashion turnover, it’s hard to distinguish which pieces are absolute must-haves and which ones you can do without. Keep these tips in mind to make sure you’re not out of the loop this season:

Color - Some of the hottest colors this season? Anything bright or white! Burberry Prorsum, Christian Dior, and Jil Sander are all paying homage to a variety of electric greens, shocking yellow and bright pink. Don’t go overboard and reach for the fluorescents, but definitely grab something that will call for a little attention! Don’t do bright colors, or like to stick to the basics? Designers such as Alexander Wang, Doo.Ri, and Helmut Lang are making us love little white dresses, jackets and even pants for the spring season.

Lace – Who would want to skip out on the fun and flirty trends this season? Certainly not Anna Sui, Chanel, or Dolce & Gabbana, and after seeing their runway collections, neither would we. Lace is one of the hottest trends this season and is adorning some of the hottest dresses we’ve ever seen. If you have to be choosy for trends this season, make sure lace is a top choice!

Prints – On the runways of Prada, Alexander McQueen, and Banana Republic, make no mistake: prints are back! Anything from leopard printed skirts, banana printed tops, and floral printed dresses will make you on top of this season’s hottest style.

70’s – Inspired by Yves Saint Laurent, designers such as Marc Jacobs, Diane Von Furstenberg and Gucci are bringing back the styles of the 1970’s. Keep your eyes open for peasant blouses, safari style jackets and bright colored pieces.

While it can be tempting to want to grab all the new trends, it’s much more classy to stick to a select few that really fit your style. Figure out which of these hot trends works best into your wardrobe, and then wear it like it’s nobody’s business!
